For a competition held in Peniche, Portugal, we set out to create a short drama with a clear purpose: to raise awareness about pollution and the urgent challenges of climate change. Working with limited resources, we wanted to tell a story that would leave a meaningful impression on viewers while staying true to the competition’s theme.
It was important to balance the weight of the subject matter with a sense of hope and urgency, ensuring the message was both impactful and relatable.
We approached this project by focusing on storytelling above all else. With careful planning and creativity, we developed a narrative that would resonate emotionally without requiring elaborate setups. By working closely with Ocean Patrol, we were able to integrate their mission into the heart of the story, ensuring it felt authentic and aligned with their values.
The short film became a heartfelt contribution to the competition and was honored with first prize. While this recognition was a wonderful moment for everyone involved, the real reward was the opportunity to support Ocean Patrol’s vital mission and help amplify their message.
It was a nice experience to collaborate with Ocean Patrol and contribute in a small way to the larger conversation about climate change and environmental protection.
